Darren DeGraaf

Darren holds the position of President, where he will lead a national team of 15 employees, volunteers, numerous donors, and an organization that invests more than $4 million annually in 23 indigenous partner organizations around the world.

He has proven experience leading in the not-for-profit, denominational and local church sector having served professionally as a pastor, international consultant, adjunct professor, trainer, coach and denominational leader. He has travelled and ministered in more than 15 countries with extensive leadership experience in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa and The Caribbean.

Darren will join Partners International Canada on December 1, 2018 and brings more than 25 years in ministry and not-for-profit organization leadership. Most recently, Darren was Senior Associate (Executive) Pastor with Beulah Alliance Church, a multi-site congregation in Edmonton Alberta, with a weekly attendance of 3,200, worshipping in three different languages.  He has also had a leadership and management consultancy business focused on coaching and training Christian leaders’ world-wide. Prior to Beulah, Darren served as the Director of Leadership Initiatives for Arrow Leadership, where his role included leading Arrow’s Executive Stream, organizational consulting, leadership coaching, and the creation of leader development events and tools.

Previously, he was the Denominational Director of Leadership Development and Denominational Director of Youth Ministries with Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec and the Associate Pastor of Youth, Young Adults and Missions at Brant Bible Church in Burlington ON (now Compass Point Bible Church).

He holds a Masters of Arts (Religion) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois, a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario and is a graduate of the Arrow Leadership Program. He has also taught as an adjunct instructor at Tyndale University College, Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto and McMaster Divinity School.

Darren is a native of Burlington ON but now lives in Edmonton Alberta with his wife Tracey and their three children.
