Hark! Human Trafficking Benefit Concert
Human trafficking has been identified as “the largest human rights violation in the history of mankind.” Modern-day slavery, also referred to as “trafficking in persons,” or “human trafficking,” describes the act of recruiting, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining a person for compelled labor or commercial sex acts through the use of force, fraud, or coercion. As the Body of Christ, it is our responsibility to live lives truly rooted in the truth of the Gospel — the Gospel that came to set the captives free. Human Trafficking is a problem that goes beyond the stats — human trafficking affects real people in our backyard, and often includes “normal” looking people from families and respectable jobs.
Join us on May 3rd at The Peoples Church as we celebrate the Gospel, and its implication towards realities such as pain, lust, temptation and justice.
