Every year Partners International brings some of the amazing men and women who lead our ministry partners from across the world right here for our Hope in Action tour. These are men and women of outstanding vision and incredible passion for showing the love of God in their unique contexts of ministry.
Each of these leaders have incredible stories of the joys and challenges of ministry in some of the toughest regions of the world. This year, we’re excited to give you the chance to hear these stories for yourself. For a limited time, these leaders are available to speak at your event, or contact us to arrange a personal meeting.
Diogo and Juliana have been married since 2013. Diogo was born into a family with strong roots in the church. He gave his life to Christ at age 11 and felt called to teach. As a young college student, Diogo studied history during the day then seminary at night. Juliana is the daughter of Marcio and Damaris Garcia, the founders of EMAF. She gave her life to Jesus when she was 5 and at age 6 knew she wanted to serve God in missions and has not changed her mind since.
Diogo and Juliana understood that their vocations, teaching and missions could be unified into something for God’s kingdom. That came in 2016 when Juliana and Diogo were called to run EMAF’s ‘floating seminary,’ a mobile Christian Training Centre that will travel through the Amazon River. Along with the training centre, they will also work with missionary care. Juliana shared, “Although we are very excited for it, we also understood we needed more tools and training, so we engaged in our Master’s degree at Providence Seminary in Canada. I studied Counselling and my husband studied Education.”
Juliana and Diogo have just finished their studies and are heading back to Brazil’s Amazon this year to start their missionary journey.
