Latest ministry update from Nigeria!

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has blessed us with all things to enjoy and be a blessing to our generation. With gratitude to God, I write this report to you on the different things that God has been doing with us alongside our joint partnership with Partners International Canada. Like when Moses received help, having his hands raised by brothers when Israel fought their wars, we have found great support and partnership with Partners International Canada (PIC). With God on our side, lives will be continuously touched, and we'll achieve much, even in these trying times.

We have been able to achieve quite a lot in the last twelve months. We organized a free medical outreach, involving volunteers and other medical personnel from different neighbouring states. And we purchased some equipment for the hospital. We thank God for the lives of those transformed through the accomplishments of our partnership.

Nnenna Emmanuel was pregnant. She had a history of losing her children at birth. The day that she was to give birth happened to coincide with our free medical outreach. While waiting to see the doctor, her water broke, and we immediately attended to her. There were complications, and it was a difficult delivery. Our nurse in charge said, "I had to excuse myself to go to the restroom to pray for the woman because she was most likely to lose her life."

This was a very experienced nurse who had been chief matron at a federal medical center. By God's grace, they delivered a healthy baby girl. We thank God for the prayerful medical personnel that were there to see the process through. This was an impoverished family. They could never have afforded to give birth in a town hospital. But we were able to do everything free of charge. The husband thanked God for the miraculous delivery. He says he wants to be part of what God is doing and has promised to be committed to God and the church for the rest of his life.

  • Pray for wisdom in determining how the ministry will operate and cope with the new normal and remain relevant to God's plan for this generation.
  • Pray for the defeat of this coronavirus so that the ministry will pick up speed in our visits and assistance to the field.
  • Pray that all our students will remain strong and relevant to their families and parents during this lockdown in Nigeria.
  • Pray that God will help us fully utilize the new technological resources to advance the kingdom's cause in various fields.
  • Pray for health protection for all our staff, both administrative and field, especially our missionaries who have not stopped visiting their members and encouraging them in this period.
  • Pray for me as I lead several discipleship initiatives in Nigeria and Africa, for wisdom and insight on what the Lord will have us do.
  • Pray for revamping the global and local economy, so more resources will become available for missions work.
  • Pray for my family that we will all remain in tune with the changing times
  • Pray for funding for our Bible Colleges and encouragement for the students. More funding will provide scholarships for more disadvantaged students who are called to be pastors.
  • Pray for financial provision to repair my wife's car, which needs a significant repair to keep serving the home front.
